Megan's island

Setting- It mostly takes place at a lake in the 2000’s, because there is electricity and cars .There is proof on page 9, and on page 142.

Character- Megan has reddish, blond  hair, and is 11 years old. She is kind, loyal , respectful, curious, and polite because, she wants to tell Annie she is leaving. But she knows she is not allowed, so she does not do it. Sandy has reddish, blond hair, and is 10 years old. He is hyper, kind, and curious. He is hyper, kind, and curious because, when he went fishing, he was hyper, and kind to old grandpa Davis. They were both curious when a man came looking for them.

Plot- The plot is when bad things start happening, she starts figuring out her mom has keep a big secret, and they're about to find out it is a bad one. When their mother drops a bowl and forces them to leave in the middle of the night. Megan and Sandy get suspicious.A detective, and two other men come looking for them. When Megan finds her birth certificate, she eavesdrops (by accident), and secretly thinks that she is a different person.. She finds out her dad died in prison for stealing and shooting a teller. She realizes  her life had changed forever!

Mood- The book made me feel curious when she saw the detective and the two men. That made me want to read more of the book. I was surprised when she found out her name was different. I was sad at the point they figured out about hers, and Sandy’s father died in prison.
